5/3/2017 DAVES COFFEE - 341 South Main Street Providence, RI 02903 & 5193 Old Post Rd Charlestown, RI 02813Read NowI, like so many humans on this planet, require the aid of caffeine in order to trudge through any of my daily activities. It is so crucial that coffee flows through my veins prior to acting on anything of importance. Having developed such a dependency on coffee, I have somewhat also accrued a bit of snobbery along with it. There is almost nothing worse, than a bad cup of coffee. Which is why I hold good coffee, on such a high, high pedestal. On my list of favorite coffee spots in Providence, Dave’s Coffee lingers up towards to top. I value Dave’s so very much, because their coffee is genuinely delicious, and most importantly, STRONG. Who wants a wimpy cup of coffee? Maybe the faint of heart coffee drinkers who can only handle “half caf”, but I my friend, am not one of those people. My all time favorite hot cup of coffee is from Dave’s; the vanilla bourbon latte. And let me start off saying, that I am not a sugary coffee lover. But this creation, is the most beautifully crafted, balanced cup of flavors, so much that when the warm foam meets my lips, I lick them, slowly, to savor it. People around me may or may not be judging my milk mustache, but I truly do not care. Too busy in coffee heaven. Aside from their robust coffee selection, they are also serving some of the most high quality baked goods around. Their little gluten free donuts come in all sorts of gourmet flavors like lemon lavender and key lime. The breakfast menu serves egg and cheese in between house made biscuits, and lunch has salad and sandwich options. Really, all of the important bases are gracefully touched upon here. With two locations, Dave’s can provide you with a good cup of coffee at either end of the state. Spending a day in Downtown Providence? Stop by their very hip South Main Street location, where all the coolest and smartest college kids type away on their lap tops. If you’re down by the beaches, check out their Charlestown location, and you will in for a treat. You can not miss the pink restored barn house sitting right on Route 1. The quaint space is cozy, homey, and even attached to a dazzling high end boutique. I may or may not be guilty of buying some jewelry while on a caffeine high. Oops! One last thing; Dave’s coffee is so over the top on point, they even have a best selling coffee syrup. If you are not from Rhode Island and reading this, let me introduce to you an RI staple, coffee milk. Dave’s coffee syrup helps make this special Rhody drink so creamy and rich, it will bring back all the best childhood memories. You know, back when you were a kid and weren’t desperate for a cup of coffee in order to survive! Yay!
